citizens maintain their lives with independence and dignity.
We serve the following communities: Beaufort, Burton, Lady's
Island, St. Helena Island, Bluffton, Hilton Head, Port Royal,
Lobeco, and Sheldon. Significant Geographical Features: Beaufort County is a unique coastal area that is located 70 miles south of Charleston, SC and 40 miles north of Savannah, GA. Situated in the extreme southwestern corner of the state, the county lies sprawled across a battery of islands, each a separate geographical entity, ranging in size and socio-economic diversity from lush Hilton Head Island, which has on of the highest per capita in the nation, to the undeveloped backwoods of St. Helena Island. Beaufort County is known as “Beautiful Beaufort by the Sea,” with ongoing cultural activities and historical attractions that appeal to all who visit the area. Beaufort County is the ideal locale for family vacations with numerous year round social and recreational events. |
